Asheville Twestival Fundraiser!

If you haven't heard of the Twestival, then let us introduce you to it! It's an organization created by the awesome community of dedicated Twitter members who decided to get together to raise money for really great charities around the world. These members have broken up into their respective cities and organized fundraising events at least twice a year, each time picking a different charity to support.

And now it's time for the next Asheville Twestival! It will be held today at Club 828! The festivities begin at 5pm and it keeps on going until 11pm!

And The Littlest Birds is participating this year! We have donated a $25 gift certificate to their raffle! (Which, by the way, is always filled with awesome donations from local stores!)

We're super happy to be a very small part of it this year and we encourage every one to stop by the charity tonight and give your dollars to a very important cause!

New to our store is Fierce Hugs, which is an incredibly ridiculously adorable organic baby clothing shop. All of their clothing is organic cotton and all of the prints on the clothing have been designed by independent artists. The two women who started the company have a cute little story, one which everyone should check out.

At our store, though, we are selling three of Fierce Hugs' products. We have tees and bodysuits in the Honeybee, Cryptia Dragon and the Pirate prints. Come in to the store and check out the cuteness or read more about them here!

We now have new Spring collections of Simple Shoes and Livie & Luca Shoes in! They are all so cute! We all wish that they made these cute shoes in adult sizes! Fierce Hugs Are Here!
We recently got in an adorable order of Fierce Hugs Bodysuits and Tees. We currently have in stock the Honeybee bodysuit (pictured here), the Cryptia Dragon bodysuit, and the Pirate bodysuit. We also have tees in these prints. All of Fierce Hugs clothing is organic cotton and the prints are designed by independent artists.

Each month we like to share with you a book that we think might be interesting and helpful to moms and dads. This month it's So Easy Baby Food, 2nd Ed. by Joan Ahlers and Cheryl Tallman. We actually carry this book in the store in our consignment section! It's a super interesting book that gives a step by step guide of the foods your baby should be eating each month. And it shows how to make the foods for your baby yourself. Come in and check it out at The Littlest Birds store! Find out how to give your baby the right foods without all the added preservatives and chemicals.

New Product! Rockin Green Soap!

The Littlest Birds is trying out a new product for our store this month! And it's the super exciting diaper detergent called Rockin' Green Soap! Rockin' Green Soap is a natural detergent that is especially good at getting yucky, stinky smells out of your baby's cloth diapers!

This detergent comes in many different scents, all of which sound really yummy and good enough to eat! We've ordered some and they should be coming into the store very soon! Tweedle Bugs are In!
We just received an order of Tweedle Bugs One Size Pocket Diapers! Tweedle Bugs are super cheap - they go for only $12.95! They come in dark and light blue, yellow, green, white and cow print!

Rockin' Green Soap!
We're trying out another new product this month, and this one is a detergent that is especially good getting the stink out of your little one's diapers! It's called Rockin' Green Soap and really works! Allison has used it, and she's giving it a big thumbs up! The soap comes in many different scents, including Cherry Lemonade, Vanilla Buttercream and Mango Sorbet. It's not in the store yet, but should be here in another two weeks or sooner.

Get Your New Organic Clothing - From Under The Nile!
Just in: a huge order of new toys and clothing from Under The Nile! We got in some adorable new spring and summer clothing - some really cute onesies and tiny precious dresses and sunhats. We also got new toys, including sea turtles and seahorses! Everything is so adorable. Now, while the the toys are all out in the store, the clothing won't be put out yet. We're waiting till it gets a little bit closer to spring to put out this light weight clothing!

Last month we got a new diaper line in our store. How exciting, right?

Introducing Flip Diapers! The basic deal with the Flip system? There's a cover and there's an insert. After being soiled, toss the disposable insert in the your diaper pail. Replace with clean one. And reuse the cover! It's a simple as 1, 2, 3!

The expo, which is being held tomorrow December 6 from 11am-6pm at the Crowne Royal Plaza Hotel, is "celebrating all good things for our children and living in harmony with the Earth." Over 50 local booths will be there, along with a performance by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, puppetry, a fashion show and so much more! Each month we like to share with you a book that we think might be interesting and helpful to moms and dads. This month it's What to Expect When You're Expecting, by Heidi Murkoff. This is one of the best-selling pregnancy books that is out there. It's a all-in-one, comprehensive guide for women entering pregnancy. It's answers all your questions and is filled with facts that are helpful to anyone, from the first-time mom to the fifth-time mom. We actually carry many copies of this book in the consignment section of our store. So if you're looking for a good, basic guide then this is it!

This cute little guy is fun, colorful, portable and makes rhythmic click-clack sounds as it is pulled. Created my a mom who needed more comfortable and flexible shoes for her little one, Kai, the shoe brand began in 2004. With the motto "Urban Footwear for First Steps," See Kai Run Shoes are made for newborns all the way up to 8 year-olds and have so many cute designs and styles. Book of the Month: Green Babies, Sage Moms

Each month we like to share with you a book that we think might be interesting and helpful to moms. This month it's "Green Babies, Sage Moms" by Lynda Fassa. This book is filled with helpful advice and guides to help the mother and mother-to-be raise a green and organic baby. From finding the "safest ways to get your house ready for the baby" to figuring out what your diaper choices are, this book is a helpful beginners' guide for the mom who wants raise her baby as green as possible. We currently do not carry this book in The Littlest Birds store, but you can find it at your local library or bookstore. Happy Reading!

Created by the founders of Burt's Bees, this company has so many cute organic cotton clothing pieces and even some organic cotton dolls. Their colors are bright and adorable. Their designs remind us of the Baby Legs leggings we carry.
